The Makeouts
Make Keene is the singer and songwriter of The (somewhat eponymously named) Makeouts. Since the debut EP, 2019’s HAYMAKER, The Makeouts have been known for what Keene calls “rock n roll noir”. With a deep voice that rolls with messy but handsome guitars and drums, Make professes his love of American music with imperfect grandeur. All of this comes to a climax in the Makeouts first album, BEWARE THE FLOWERS (2024). In 2026, the Makeouts are back with a new lineup and a raw, no frills sound that shows off the strength of the band with the song Concrete Cadillac.
Valors
Minneapolis loud boys, Valors, are Ian Valor (vocals/guitar), Tanner Montague (drums), and Chad Hofland (bass). Their first album, Everyday Saints, was produced by the band and recorded by Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording. Since then, the band has continued to lean into the grime with energetic live shows that have made them a staple in the Twin Cities dive bar scene. They wear the power trio badge as a point of pride. For them, there’s something sacred about distilling that rock n roll sound down to its core elements and pushing it until there’s nothing left in the tank. Their latest album, To All Who Celebrate, is no frills, in your face rock n roll that is thumpy, fast, and exciting.
The Grieving Pines are a hard hitting three piece classic rock band from the Twin Cities with a strong focus on bringing their audience an experience of twisting riffs, piercing leads, and a tone of rock n roll attitude.
