The Hip-Shakers w. The Jesse Irwin Band
Tuesday October 27 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

THE HIPSHAKERS are a powerhouse four-piece rock ‘n’ roll machine dedicated to reviving the raw, kinetic energy of the early 1950s. Led by dynamic UK frontman and slap bass player Tyrone Hibbs, the band bridges the gap between the legendary, stripped-down Sun Records sessions of Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis, and the driving, high-octane rock ‘n’ roll anthems of Chuck Berry. Backed by a relentless rhythm section featuring Kellan Ponterollo on drums and Jesse Mueller on piano, alongside the blistering fretwork of guitarist Dan Lowinger, they deliver an authentic vintage sound packed with modern swagger. Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to move when they take the stage.
Jesse Irwin, with his deep, rich voice and hard-hitting, plain-spoken songs, is the newest member of the Twin Cities roots music community. A veteran of the Saint Louis music scene, he’s set up camp in the Cities and staked his claim to a seat at the bar where Jackson Browne and Gary Stewart are figuring out why life goes the way life goes. Jesse knows a few things about that, too.
