Tony Cuchetti w/Blair Krivanek (guitar), Andrew Bartelson (drums), Dan Lowinger (bass)
Steeped in American roots and soul music, Minnesota-based singer-songwriter Tony Cuchetti approaches songwriting in an honest, relatable fashion, inspired by country and folk music in particular. Storytelling is key to Cuchetti’s brand of songwriting, following in the footsteps of songwriters like Kris Kristofferson, Guy Clark, and Townes Van Zandt, each of whom combine compelling details and situations with music, creation a visceral emotional connection with listeners.
A working class musician who sings about his own lived experiences, Cuchetti grew up in a traveling musical family, which provided him a myriad of creative experiences that have shaped his writing style and rustic soulful sound. Hailing from Red Wing, a town in southern Minnesota, Cuchetti travels around the state playing 200+ shows a year, both solo and with his full band, and he has become a mainstay in the local Twin Cities and regional music scenes.
Dan Lowinger, a transplant from Portland, OR, is a guitarist steeped in the tradition of Western swing and classic country. Since moving to the Twin Cities in 2017, Dan has become a fixture in the local country and Americana scene, playing on a regular basis with all star Western swing band Honky Tonk Jump, and country rockers Cole Diamond, while also sharing the stage with local greats, Martin Zellar (Gear Daddies), Tony Andreason (The Trashmen), Pat Donohue (Prairie Home Companion) and many others! He has performed regionally and toured nationally with many different country and swing bands from the Pacific Northwest including: The Barn Door Slammers, Ralph Carney’s Pepper Grinders, Vince Mira, and Western Centuries.
