Maggie Black w. Song Birds, Betty & The Rubble
Monday December 1 @ 9:00 pm - 12:00 am

Maggie Black is a piano based singer songwriter from Chicago, whose eclectic style draws from likes of Suzanne Vega, Jeff Buckley, Fiona Apple, Leonard Cohen, Amy Winehouse…and everything else. She is currently recording her first album on an 8 track with the help of the musical maverick Dev Jana. If you ask her about this project she might retreat into the nearest snail’s shell and raise a sign that reads “please come back when I’m done,” but she promises it’ll be done soon.

Betty & the Rubble:
Formed in the space between Maple Grove and Rochester, Betty and the Rubble brings a raw, energetic mix of indie rock and garage with a Midwestern twist.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Jenny Lewis, Florence and the Machine, and Wilco, Betty and the Rubble’s music captures the tension between vulnerability and defiance.
