Lucas Kurmis w. One Big Quilt, Will They Kiss
Monday August 31 @ 9:00 pm - 12:00 am

Mostly described as “weird,” Lucas Kurmis (he/him) is a singer-songwriter from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Lucas’ music ranges from indie rock to folk punk to spoken word to experimental noise. Lucas’ focus is often on guitar, but he uses strings, drums, and a toy Casio in his own style. Lucas is currently releasing a visual album song by song called Another Time/Life/Universe. The album is focused on the grays of fiction and missed connections.
One Big Quilt is a patchwork of ideas and influences brought together in one cohesive sound. Perhaps best described as the midpoint between Adrienne Lenker and black midi, the duo of guitarist/songwriter Winnie (they/she) and drummer Joel (he/they) combine indie, punk, jazz, emo, and funk elements into music that is unpredictable but satisfying.
Will They Kiss is a Minneapolis-based dark folk duo Grace Sontra (she/they) and Bryan Zubrod (he/they). Haunting vocals, synth-driven soundscapes, and poetic lyrics blend to tell a story of doomed love and hope against all odds.
