A dark cloud permeates the world from the edge of every ocean. As it slowly engulfs the world around it, ruin, disease, and despair is left in its wake. Some have witnessed the cloud and lived, but it is apparent that even witnessing such an abomination has caused them to lose a part of themselves. Only the cruel and unforgiving disposition of nature itself could create such an evil. One cannot help but weep knowing such an atrocity is allowed to exist in this world. Vanishing Earth is a black metal band that seeks to find the silver lining of this cloud.

When I was in second grade there was this kid named Jupiter who tried to start a detective club with some other kids. They apparently solved some mysteries but then Jupiter went missing and I don’t think the family ever found him. Jupiter Johnson are a scrappy group of guys who bring a lot of energy and a somewhat passable amount of musicianship to the very smallest stages of the Twin Cities.

Dread Spells is an instrumental rock band from Minneapolis, MN that formed in 2024. Featuring ethereal soundscapes, semi-abrasive rushes of energy, and multi-layered melodies, Dread Spells combines each of its members’ distinct set of influences into a coherent and fluid tapestry of sound that evokes a wide array of emotions. The band is currently working on recording a concept record about the establishment of the Transcontinental Railroad.
