Blues Contraption is a musical hodgepodge of styles that takes on a
life of it’s own. The music is funky and grooves in a manner
reminiscent of the early blues from Mississippi and New Orleans.
Songs from Jimmy Reed, Sonny Boy Williamson, and JJ Cale find a
home in Blues Contraption.
Billy McLaughlin calls Jerry Kosak “a powerful and colorful guitarist
who makes me want to practice…or just listen with a big smile on my
face.”
2026 saw Kosak depart from his four previous albums of solo acoustic
guitar by releasing Kid From Yesterday, a rock album in the manner of
Robin Trower. His stripped down performance will feature songs from
this album arranged for acoustic guitar and vocal, interspersed with
his progressive acoustic solos.
