Twin Cities that plays both contemporary and classic bluegrass tunes
with a creative approach that drives while still maintaining a sense
of laid-back, Midwestern chill. That’s what they mean by “groove”. The
bands inviting sound combined with their openness warmth on and
off-stage have made them crowd favorites at festivals and concert
venues all around Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.
The band covers a number of past and current contemporary bluegrass
artists. A Blue Groove show may feature songs from Alison Krauss or
Rhonda Vincent as well as traditional bluegrass (Bill Monroe, Flatt &
Scruggs) with all of its drive, improvisation and harmony singing!
Blue Groove also likes to put a bluegrass spin on more
contemporary/pop artists such as U2, Passenger, and the Doobie
Brothers!
