Errl w. Witch Tree & Northern Hammer

ERRL
ERRL is a Minneapolis-based power trio built around loud guitars, heavy grooves, pounding drums, and soulful vocals. Their sound is rooted in hard rock, with thick riffs, dirty guitar tones, and a rhythm section that hits hard. They balance the weight and volume of hard rock with melody, groove, and blues influence.
The band draws from the driving rhythms of Queens of the Stone Age, the heaviness and edge of Barkmarket, the guitar atmosphere of Hum, and the blues and soul of Muddy Waters. Their songs move between thick riffs, hard-driving rhythms, and more melodic passages without losing their edge. There’s a raw energy to the music, with a strong groove underneath it all and a rhythm section that refuses to sit back. Three musicians, one big sound.
WITCH TREE
Witch Tree is a Minneapolis-based guitar-driven rock band formed by James Bourne and Chad Knutson that feels informed by caustic guitar rock influenced by Neil Young and Crazy Horse like Retribution Gospel Choir and Centro-matic; 90’s indie and alternative bands such as Uncle Tupelo (and Son Volt & Wilco), Iron & Wine, Low, Failure, and Hum; old and new shoegaze like MBV and Nothing; old and new stoner rock like Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Melvins, The Sword, and Black Mountain; post-rock instrumentalists like Earth, Mogwai, Pelican, and Dirty Three; songsmiths like Vic Chesnutt, Richard Buckner, and early Bon Iver; and about a million other bands. They certainly don’t sound like any one of these influences, but these bands’ fingerprints are all over what Witch Tree does.
NORTHERN HAMMER
Northern Hammer is a two-piece Earth Metal band hailing from Saint Paul, MN. Scott Skoog on the boom~crash~rawr and Nick Streine on the stringed hammer. Don’t expect expert musicianship but be prepared for a cathartic sonic explosion with dark sounds, positive energy, and a wall of fuzz! It is a dose of Electric Medicine!
