Throckmorton Trio w. Glass, 13 Howell
Sunday May 24 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Throckmorton Trio explores Jazz Age roots and ’60s psychedelia in a smoke-hazed reverie. Drawing from Tin Pan Alley, British psychedelia, and rare early recordings, high-voiced crooner Randall Throckmorton guides listeners through forgotten melodies, curious lyrics, and the occasional long-lost chord. The result is a haunting blend of originals and stylistic mashups that feels both antique and strangely timeless. Mandolinist Tom Wadzinski and pianist Christopher Thompson complete the trio with deft musicianship and playful invention.
GLASS (Annie Enneking and Kari) creates emotionally intelligent, minimalist avant-pop. It is like wandering into a vintage store and finding a collection of dioramas full of small, majestic, abandoned stories. We make songs you can wonder about—songs that land in your body and soften your mind. The minimalism is the point; using either Kari’s piano or bass and Annie’s voice, GLASS is grand but stripped-down evidence of life: two human poems expressing simultaneously.
13 Howell is an original four-piece rock band from Minneapolis-St. Paul. The group borrows sometimes shamelessly, sometimes subconsciously, from a wide variety of genres and random influences. They create music that is often loud, intense, and psychedelic, and occasionally soft and sweet or just ridiculous; songs of honey, bathtub spiders, warring hares, and the cold surface of the moon.
