Wilkinson James w. The Bad Companions
Sunday August 10 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Bad Companions are a long standing (and popular!) Minneapolis based roots-rock
quartet. We’re two guitars, stand-up bass and drums, with great vocals, horns on
special occasions, a strong original catalog and a set list as long as your arm drawn
from the swingin’ heyday of American rockabilly, r & b, country and blues.
Wilkinson James has been on the Twin Cities music scene since 2008, when Liz
Wilkinson and AJ Scheiber blended their singing and songwriting into a style that one
fan described as “the bastard offspring of June Carter Cash and Townes Van Zandt.”
Over the years the duo of Liz and AJ has evolved into a full band, adding touches of
jazz, torch, and swing to their base of honky-tonk, folk, and blues.
Join these two great bands for an afternoon of musical fun, friendship, and maybe a
little rug-cuttin’!
