MothObsidian is a solo artist making semi-improvisational industrial dark wave. The songs are based around loops that (Nik) comes up with. Incorporating live drums, synth, and guitar to add layers to increasingly progress each song from sultry soundscapes to dark danceable grooves.
Nik who’s been in the twin cities music scene for over 16 years. He’s been in other projects with genres include funky hip-hop, drone, dance/house, experimental, easy listening, desert rock, industrial, singer songwriter. He is also the lead guitarist and singer in his other current project Uncle Jesse’s Comb.
