Monarch w. Eastern River Cooters & Glitter Pit
Sunday March 2 @ 9:00 pm - 12:00 am

Glitter Pit:
3 piece indie/alternative band based out of minneapolis that plays scientist rock

The Eastern River Cooters:
The Eastern River Cooters play a blend of southern rock, blues, and country with a bit of punk edge that is guaranteed to move your heart AND your feet. Featuring the powerful vocals of Connor Doe, the blistering, mournful lead guitar of Ryan McCabe, the booming rhythm section of bassist Dan Culhane and drummer Lydia Theilen, and the depth and atmosphere brought by multi-instrumentalist Randy Huyck, the Cooters grab your attention and will let you go only until the next song starts. So far, the band has played primarily to smaller audiences of between 15-50 people at local venues, usually once every couple of months. But with their new album on the horizon, those audiences will not stay small for long. To a zoologist, a Cooter is a turtle. To everyone else, it’s a member of their new favorite band.

Monarch:
Monarch is a Twin Cities-based six piece rock band with influences ranging from the heavy-psychedelia of the 60s and 70s, to the soothing lo-fi aesthetics of modern indie music. Whether you’re looking for some hard rocking head-bangers or some danceable funky grooves, you’ll find them at a Monarch show. They are currently recording their debut album with producer Adi Wudali.
Ben Barrett: guitar/vocals, Caleb Loomis: bass/vocals, Jack McCally: drums, Ian Olynick: keyboard/synthesizer, Charlie Sedgwick: guitar, Adi Wudali: saxophone/synthesizer.
