Emily Hicks:

Emily Hicks is a Utah based folk-pop singer/songwriter who has captured the hearts of audiences through her soaring, powerhouse vocals, intimate nature based lyrics, and quippy stage banter. With a passion for storytelling, Emily’s music is a reflection of her experiences and emotions as a granola millennial, offering a glimpse into her world and connecting with listeners on a personal level. Her unique blend of folk, country, and pop influences creates a sound that is both timeless and contemporary, making her music accessible to a wide range of listeners. Side effects of listening to Emily’s music may include but are not limited to: having the sudden urge to book a 5 day backpacking trip through the Wasatch Mountains, realizing you need therapy like yesterday, and/or discovering a deep love for canned wine.

Emily Haavik:

Emily Haavik is a singer-songwriter from the shores of Lake Superior, now based in the Twin Cities. “There’s soul in Haavik’s voice” (Duluth News Tribune), and she writes “terrific songs with honest lyrics and infectious hooks” (The Bluegrass Situation). Emily plays a blend of Americana, folk and glitzy-glam country. Her music has been featured on Good Morning America and 20/20, and her work as a journalist has been honored by multiple national awards including the Peabody and DuPont. Her song “Do You Think You Protect Me?” was called “one of the year’s most powerful local songs on sexual violence awareness” by The Current. The video for it was nominated for the Midwest Country Music Video of the Year, received press coverage across Minnesota and raised over $5K for nonprofits combating violence against women. She releases her new album Wingspan in fall 2024.
