DESCRIPTION:GALACTIC COWBOY ORCHESTRA was started in 2009 by founding member/bass player John Wright. The band was born out of a desire to play technically challenging music derived from John’s influences ranging from Mahavishnu Orchestra\, The Dixie Dregs and King Crimson\, to name a few. Wright enlisted the aid of guitarist Dan Neale\, who brought to the table many deep Jazz influences in his advanced playing and composing style. Along with the band’s first drummer\, Mark O’Day\, the beginnings of Galactic Cowboy Orchestra were found. Soon after\, violinist (and John’s wife) Lisi Wright joined the band with her aggressive “electric guitar player plays violin” style and engaging stage presence to complete the band’s sound and look. Fast forward 16 years: 6 studio releases (and one live)\, 3 Downbeat Nominations\, a Minnesota Arts Tour Grant\, collaborations with symphony orchestras\, thousands of miles of touring and the band is just getting started. \n2025 sees the GCO with a new studio release and a stronger than ever commitment to create the ultimate musical moment between the players and the audience with their Art Rock/Jazz Fusion creations.

DESCRIPTION:The Second Stringers consists of Lars-Erik Larson on drums\, Nick Salisbury on bass\, and Blair Krivanek on guitar. Between the three of them they have filled out the rhythm section for groups such as Dead Man Winter\, Sonny Knight and the Lakers\, Ryan Bingham\, Brian Fallon\, Sarah Morris\, Mike Munson\, Jack Klatt\, and many others. They play at the White Squirrel the first Wednesday of every month where they stretch out on an eclectic range of tunes from country classics\, old folk songs\, and deep cut soul tunes. Often they are joined by the who’s who of local songwriters as their special guests every month\, where they get to show off their skills as professional sidemen. They look forward to the first Wednesday every month and they’d be thrilled if you came by to join them sometime.

DESCRIPTION:If CBGB\, noise rock\, and the garage revival had a 3 way\, their unholy love child would be donned Piss with Style.   With loud\, funky and emotionally charged songs\, their influences span decades of rock n’ roll royalty\, all while poetically creating gritty personal narratives\, and grappling with both existential dread and urban decay.   The Twin Cities have resurrected Piss with Style to the fear and pleasure of everyone in their wake. \n30 chords and a cloud of dust – \nSpecializing in tightly-constructed pop songs about the messiness of life\, Ben Vogel lets loose with his intricate guitar-playing and distinctly vibrant voice. \nSince he abandoned academia for the rock & roll life\, Vogel has cooked up a unique take on power pop with subtle accent flavors that range from prog-rock to R&B. Imagine a harder-rocking Crowded House that occasionally edges into Daryl Hall territory. \nDefiantly untethered to modern trends without being overtly retro\, he truly makes “pop music for people who hate pop music.” \nOriginally (and proudly) hailing from Spokane\, Ben is currently based in Minneapolis and is working on new material for 2026. \n  \n  JWAC is a three-piece rock band from Saint Paul\, Minnesota\, specializing in blending\n\nfunk and punk genres. Beginning as purely an acoustic band playing lengthy \nimprovisations\, they have grown into competent songwriters and instrumentalists\, \ncovering wide ground in a short span of songs. They are so excited to share their new \nmaterial\, covers and jam sessions with the world!
